A map of the Canadian provinces and territories you have visited
TripStow's Canada map shows which of Canada's 13 provinces and territories you have been to, filled in for you from your past trips. The airports, stations, hotels and cruise ports in your bookings put their province on the map, and you tap any others by hand. It is free.
All 10 provinces and 3 territories count, from British Columbia to Newfoundland and Labrador, and up to Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.

How does it work?
- 1
Add your trips
Forward your booking emails, or import your flight history from TripIt (via OpenFlights), Flighty, LogMyFlight, myFlightradar24, OpenFlights or a CSV file.
- 2
Provinces fill themselves in
Where each past journey started and ended, and where you stayed, is placed in its province or territory. An airport where you only changed planes is left out.
- 3
Tap the rest
For road trips, ferries and visits that never had a booking, tap the province on the map or tick it in the list. Each tap is saved straight away.
- 4
Earn badges and share
Level up True North, finish regional badges like Atlantic Canada, and share a "My Canada" card.
How many provinces and territories have I visited?
Open the Canada map in TripStow and your count is at the top, out of 13. The provinces your trips reached are counted before you tap anything, so you only add the ones without a booking.
Provinces from your trips stay filled in. Ones you tapped by hand can be tapped again to take them off.
Which provinces count as visited?
A province or territory counts when one of your past trips started, ended or stayed in it: an airport you flew from or to, a station, a port, or a hotel. Changing planes in Toronto on the way to Vancouver does not add Ontario.
Only past travel counts. A trip you have booked adds its provinces once you have been.
Which Canada badges can I earn?
The badges sit with your other TripStow badges, and each one shows what is left to go.

Share your Canada map
The "My Canada" card shows your map and your count, in square, story and wide sizes for Instagram, WhatsApp, X and Facebook. It only ever shows places you have already been.
Part of your travel map
One switch at the top of TripStow's map moves between the world map, your flags, your countries, US states and Canada. Your Canadian and US counts are kept apart, so each has its own badges.
Questions people ask
- How many provinces and territories does Canada have?
- Canada has 13: ten provinces (Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec and Saskatchewan) and three territories (Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut). TripStow's Canada map counts all 13.
- How do I make a map of the Canadian provinces I have visited?
- Sign up to TripStow free, forward your booking emails or import your flight history, and open the Canada map: the provinces your trips reached are already filled in. Tap any others you have been to.
- Does a connection in a Canadian airport count?
- No. An airport where you only changed planes, with your next flight leaving from it within 12 hours, does not add its province. If you left the airport, tap the province to add it.
- Is the Canada map free?
- Yes. The Canada map, the count, the True North and regional badges, and the "My Canada" share card are all on TripStow's free plan.
