The best TripIt alternatives in 2026

TripIt turns forwarded booking emails into one itinerary, and its free plan is still one of the most complete. People look for an alternative when they want a lower price, a different focus (planning, flight tracking or a travel log), or a replacement for an app that has closed, such as TripCase.

Below are the apps that do the most similar job, with what each is best for, its price and its platforms, all checked on each company's own website or app store listing. TripStow made this page and is one of the apps listed, so we have kept every description factual and cited.

TripStow

Best for turning booking emails into trips and a lifetime travel log with a scratch-off map.

Like TripIt, TripStow builds trips from forwarded booking emails. On top of that, every trip counts towards a lifetime travel log: flight stats, countries on a scratch-off map, badges and a Hangar of every plane you have flown on. Check-in reminders are free; live delay, gate and baggage alerts are Pro. It does not read your inbox automatically (a forwarding rule in Gmail or Outlook does the same job), and it has no fare or seat tracking.

Tineo

Best for an AI-assisted organiser that builds itineraries from booking emails on any device.

Tineo is the closest like-for-like TripIt replacement: forward bookings to trips@tineo.ai and it builds the itinerary, with shared trips, polls and expense splitting. The free plan includes email-to-itinerary and offline access; Ultra adds more AI features.[4][5]

Wanderlog

Best for planning a trip together on a map, especially road trips and leisure travel.

Wanderlog is a planner first: a shared map and day-by-day plan that friends can edit at the same time, with expense splitting. Bookings are forwarded to a unique address for each trip (free); scanning Gmail for bookings and offline access are Pro.[6][7][8]

Tripsy

Best for a polished trip organiser if everyone in the group uses Apple devices.

Tripsy is a well-designed itinerary app for Apple devices, with a travel record (Tripsy Book) of countries, nights and flight hours. Forwarding booking emails needs Pro, and there is no native Android app; others can view trips in a browser.[9][10][11]

Flighty

Best for detailed live flight tracking on iPhone, if flights are what you care about.

Flighty is a flight tracker rather than a full itinerary app: it does not organise hotels or car hire the way TripIt does. It is excellent for live flight status and keeps a flight Passport, and it can import flights from TripIt and several flight logs. There is no Android version, only a waitlist.[12][13][14]

KAYAK Trips

Best for a completely free organiser, if you already search with KAYAK.

KAYAK Trips is free. Forward bookings to trips@kayak.com or connect Gmail or Outlook, share trips with view or edit access, and get flight alerts by email or text message.[15]

TripCase (closed)

Sabre's TripCase was a popular free TripIt alternative until it was shut down on 1 April 2025, according to Travel Daily. TripIt now runs a welcome page for former TripCase users. Any of the apps above can take its place.[16][17]

How we chose

We included apps that do TripIt's core job, building an itinerary from bookings, or that cover the main reason people leave it. Each app's price, platforms and features come from its own website, help centre or UK or US App Store listing on 3 October 2026, cited below. Where a company quotes dollars we show dollars; UK App Store prices are shown in pounds.

For reference, TripIt itself is free, with TripIt Pro at $49 a year on its website or £38.99 a year on the UK App Store. Its free plan includes Inbox Sync for Gmail, Yahoo and Microsoft accounts.

Questions people ask

What is the best free alternative to TripIt?
KAYAK Trips is entirely free. TripStow, Tineo and Wanderlog all have free plans that build trips from forwarded booking emails, and TripStow's free plan also keeps a lifetime travel log and scratch-off map.
Which TripIt alternative works on Android?
TripStow (as an installable web app), Tineo, Wanderlog and KAYAK Trips all work on Android. Tripsy and Flighty do not have Android apps.
Is there a TripIt alternative that tracks the countries I have visited?
Yes. TripStow adds every trip to a scratch-off world map and lifetime stats. Tripsy's Tripsy Book also counts countries, on Apple devices.
What replaced TripCase?
TripCase was shut down by Sabre in April 2025. Former users have moved to TripIt and to the alternatives on this page, which all build itineraries from booking emails.
Can I use TripStow and TripIt together?
Yes. Forwarding a booking email to one does not stop you forwarding it to the other. See TripStow vs TripIt for a feature-by-feature comparison.
