Which aircraft flew your flight
For past flights since February 2023, TripStow finds the aircraft that flew them (its registration, or tail number) in the adsb.lol archive: a daily record of the position broadcasts aircraft send, collected by volunteers around the world.
Flight data © adsb.lol contributors, made available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL) 1.0. TripStow keeps the flights it matches (date, aircraft address, registration, type, callsign, airports and take-off and landing times) in a database derived from it, which is also under the ODbL.
The licence asks that the way that database is made is available to anyone. Here it is: the script TripStow uses. It reads one day of the archive, splits each aircraft's day into flights at take-off and landing, and matches travellers' flights by callsign, airline and route, and time. Run it over the archive to rebuild the same flights.
Travellers' own trips, bookings and accounts are not part of it, and are never shared.
Every data source TripStow uses is listed with its licence on the notices and credits page.
