The best flight log apps in 2026

A flight log app keeps a record of every flight you have taken and turns it into stats: distance, hours in the air, airports, airlines and aircraft. Some also track flights live and build your itineraries.

These are the main options, with prices and platforms checked on each company's own site. TripStow made this page and is one of the apps listed, so every description is factual and cited.

TripStow

Best for a detailed lifetime flight log, down to the tail number of each plane, filled in from your booking emails.

Forward booking emails and TripStow builds the trip, then adds every flight to a lifetime log: distance, hours, countries, airports, airlines, aircraft types and the tail number of each plane, with a scratch-off world map coloured by air, sea or overland travel. Past flights can be imported from LogMyFlight, myFlightradar24, OpenFlights or a CSV file. It has no App Store or Google Play app yet; it is a web app that installs on a phone's home screen.

Flighty

Best for a flight log alongside the best live flight tracking, on iPhone.

Flighty Passport records distance, destinations, hours and aircraft. It imports from myFlightradar24, OpenFlights, App in the Air, LogMyFlight, JetLovers and FlightMemory; flights older than a year need Pro, as does unlimited history.[1][2][3][4][5]

myFlightradar24

Best for a free flight logbook on a computer.

A long-running free logbook from Flightradar24 with a route map and stats on airports, aircraft and CO2. Add flights by hand or import from TripIt, OpenFlights or CSV, and export to CSV. There is no mobile app.[6]

TripIt

Best for travel stats as a by-product of a trip organiser.

TripIt keeps travel stats from the trips it organises on its free plan. It is an itinerary app first, not a dedicated flight log.[7]

Tripsy

Best for a travel record inside a trip organiser on Apple devices.

Tripsy Book counts countries, hotel nights, flight hours and distance from the trips you organise in Tripsy. It is Apple only.[8][9]

App in the Air (closed)

Once a popular flight log, App in the Air closed in 2024, according to heise online. Flighty can import its export files.[3][10]
