The best apps to log your cruises
A cruise log keeps every sailing you have taken in one place: the ships, the ports and how far you have sailed, with your upcoming cruises alongside. Most trip and flight apps treat a cruise as one long, empty block; these are the apps that treat it properly.
The main difference between them is how a cruise gets in: typed in by hand, or read from your booking confirmation. Prices and platforms were checked on each company's own site, UK App Store or Google Play listing. TripStow made this page and is one of the apps listed, so every description is factual and cited.

TripStow
Best for a cruise log that builds itself from your booking confirmations, with your flights and hotels in the same trips.
Forward the confirmation from the cruise line or your travel agent, even a PDF, and TripStow builds the voyage with every port of call and its local arrival and departure times, filed into one trip with the flights and hotel night either side. The Dock keeps every ship you have sailed on, with nights at sea and ports of call, and cruise countries count on your scratch-off map. Pro looks up the ports for you from the ship and dates.
The Cruise Globe
Best for a free map and stats record of every cruise you have taken.
Add each cruise by ship, dates and ports, and The Cruise Globe draws its real route from AIS ship tracking, diversions and missed ports included, and totals your nautical miles, ports and ships in a shareable passport. Upcoming cruises get a countdown, and river cruises count too. Cruises are typed in, not read from emails.[1][2][3]
Shipmate
Best for planning an upcoming sailing, with your past cruises listed alongside.
A cruise planning app from Cruiseline.com: save several upcoming cruises with booking details, cabin and cruise credits, follow a countdown, deck plans, roll calls and the ship's position, and keep your cruise history to share. It does not list stats such as nights or ports, and details are added by hand.[4][5]
Cruise Ship Tracker
Best for iPhone users who want live ship tracking and a logbook together, and will pay for it.
Tracks any cruise ship in real time, with countdown widgets, and lets you log past voyages and plan future ones. A subscription is required after the trial.[6]
CruiseMapper
Best for looking up a ship's position or itinerary, rather than keeping your own log.
A cruise ship tracker and itinerary database: where each ship is now, and its port schedule. Its listing does not describe a personal cruise history.[7]
How we chose
We looked for apps that keep a record of the cruises you have taken, and noted which also organise upcoming sailings or track ships live. Facts come from each company's own website, UK App Store or Google Play listing on 22 October 2026, cited below. Cruise line apps were left out because each covers only its own line's sailings.
