The best apps for travel stats
A travel stats app counts up your travel: how far you have flown, hours in the air, countries, airports and airlines, often with a yearly summary to share. The main differences are how your trips get in, and how deep the numbers go.
These are the main options, with prices and platforms checked on each company's own site or UK App Store listing. TripStow made this page and is one of the apps listed, so every description is factual and cited.

TripStow
Best for the most detailed lifetime stats, down to the tail number of each plane, filled in from your booking emails.
TripStow counts distance flown (and how many times round the Earth and to the Moon), hours in the air, time zones, countries, airports, airlines, aircraft types and the individual planes you have flown on, with estimated CO2, records, a year filter, about 30 badges and a Year in Review story. Trips come from forwarded booking emails or an imported flight log (TripIt, Flighty, LogMyFlight, myFlightradar24, OpenFlights or CSV), and trains, ferries and cruises count towards your countries. The stats are free.
Flighty
Best for flight stats alongside the best live flight tracking, on Apple devices.
Flighty's free plan includes personal all-time and annual stats and a flight map, with imported history limited to the last 365 days. Flighty Passport shows your mileage, hours, places and planes, and it imports from myFlightradar24, OpenFlights, App in the Air, JetLovers and others.[1][2][3][4]
TripIt
Best for basic travel stats from a trip organiser you already use.
TripIt's free plan tallies travel stats from the trips it organises, and TripIt Rewind sums up your trips, countries and cities. It is an itinerary app first, not a dedicated flight log.[5][6]
Tripsy
Best for a travel record inside a trip organiser on Apple devices.
Tripsy counts countries visited, hotel nights, flight time and distance travelled from the trips you organise in it, from forwarded booking emails or TripIt imports.[7][8][9][10]
Visited
Best for a count of countries and cities, compared with other travellers.
Visited shows the share of the world you have seen, countries by continent, cities and your most visited places, and compares you with other travellers. Places are added by hand: it does not track your location or read photo locations. It has no flight stats.[11][12]
How we chose
We included apps that show stats about your own travel, and noted where those stats come from: flights, trips or places ticked off by hand. Facts come from each company's own website, help pages or UK App Store listing on 22 October 2026, cited below. myFlightradar24, a free web flight logbook, was down for maintenance when we checked.
