The best Wanderlog alternatives

Wanderlog is a trip planner for building an itinerary together on a map, with budgets, expense splitting and reservations forwarded in by email. It is free, with a Pro subscription that adds offline access, route optimising and Gmail scanning.

The right alternative depends on what you want instead: bookings organised for you, a visual multi-city route, an Apple-only itinerary app, a road trip planner, or a record of every trip once you are home. Facts were checked on each company's own site, UK App Store or Google Play listing. TripStow made this page and is one of the apps listed, so every description is factual and cited.

TripStow

Best for keeping booked trips organised from your emails, then a lifetime record of where you have been.

TripStow is less a planner and more a keeper: forward each booking (flights, hotels, trains, cars, cruises, PDFs included) and it builds the itinerary in local time, then turns the trip into a flight log, stats and a scratch-off map once you are home. It has no map-based planning or budgets. Many travellers plan in Wanderlog and forward the same booking emails to TripStow.

TripIt

Best for frequent and business travellers who want bookings organised automatically.

Forward bookings to plans@tripit.com and they are added to your itinerary, plotted on Google or Apple Maps with directions via Rome2Rio. Plans can be shared, and Pro's Inner Circle shares them automatically; it is not built for editing together in real time, and budgeting is not among its listed features.[1][2][3]

Stippl

Best for visual route planning across several cities, with a budget.

Stippl plans multi-stop routes with the transport between stops, a budget tracker with bill splitting, collaboration with friends and an AI planner on Pro, plus a travel journal and scratch map. Confirmations and boarding passes can be stored, but it does not describe importing booking emails.[4][5][6]

Tripsy

Best for Apple users who want a polished itinerary built from booking emails.

Forward booking emails or import from TripIt (its Smart Import needs Pro), add collaborators with edit or view-only access, and track expenses and routes between stops. There is no native Android app yet.[7][8][9]

Roadtrippers

Best for North American road trips and RV or camping routes.

A road trip planner focused on the USA and Canada, with fuel cost estimates. The free plan allows 3 stops per trip; Basic, Pro and Premium raise that to 20, 50 and 150, and collaboration is a paid feature. It does not read booking emails.[10][11]

How we chose

We included active apps people use instead of Wanderlog, for planning, organising bookings or both. Facts come from each company's own website, help pages, UK App Store or Google Play listing on 22 October 2026, cited below. Wanderlog itself runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android and the web; its Pro plans are listed at several prices on the UK App Store.
