The best TripIt replacement in 2026, for whatever you use TripIt for

The short answer: TripIt does several jobs at once, and no other app beats it at all of them. So pick the replacement for the job you actually use TripIt for:

  • Forwarding booking emails into one itinerary: TripStow, or Tineo. KAYAK Trips if it must be free.
  • Live flight alerts: Flighty on iPhone. On Android or the web, TripStow Pro or FlightAware.
  • Planning a trip together on a map: Wanderlog, or Stippl.
  • A polished app for Apple devices only: Tripsy.
  • Free, with no new app: Gmail and Google Calendar.
  • Your travel history and stats: TripStow.

TripStow wrote this and is one of the apps recommended, so every price and feature below links to the company's own website, help centre or app store listing, checked on 19 October 2026. For reference, TripIt is free, and TripIt Pro is $49 a year. TripIt: Pro pricing

Why TripStow is the modern TripIt

If you like how TripIt works, forwarding a booking and getting a trip back, TripStow does the same job, built new in 2026 and for less:

  • Cheaper. TripStow Pro is £29.99 a year, or £3.99 a month if you only travel some months. TripIt Pro is $49 a year (£38.99 on the UK App Store) and comes yearly only. TripIt: Pro pricing TripIt on the App Store
  • More on the free plan. Check-in reminders and a wallet for your loyalty numbers are free in TripStow. In TripIt, check-in reminders and the Point Tracker are part of Pro. TripIt Pro features
  • Up to date. TripStow is improved almost every day: more than 450 updates went live in the last 30 days alone. It adds things TripIt does not list: a scratch-off world map, badges, a Hangar of every plane you have flown on, imports from other flight logs, and free on-time records for any flight, route and airport. TripIt: free features
  • Open to your data. You can import your flight history from LogMyFlight, myFlightradar24, OpenFlights, Flighty or a spreadsheet, and export it again. TripIt has no export button, and its help centre says its public API no longer takes new integrations. TripIt: public API
  • A small team you can reach. Questions go straight to the people who build it, through the contact page or the app.

To be fair to TripIt: it still does more on the day of travel, with fare and seat tracking, airport maps and automatic inbox sync. If those matter most, it may still suit you. The sections below cover each job in turn.

1. You forward booking emails and want one itinerary: TripStow

This is TripIt's core job, and the one most people mean by “replacement”. TripStow gives you a private forwarding address: send it any flight, hotel, train, cruise or car hire confirmation and it builds the trip, in each place's local time, with a reminder when check-in opens. You can set up a rule in Gmail or Outlook once, give the address to a travel agent, or add it to a booking tool such as SAP Concur, so trips arrive without you doing anything.

Where it goes further than TripIt: every trip also feeds a lifetime travel record, with a scratch-off world map, flight stats, badges and every plane you have flown on. Where it does less: it does not read your inbox by itself (the forwarding rule does that job), and it has no fare or seat tracking. It is free, with Pro at £3.99 a month or £29.99 a year after a 30-day trial, and it works on iPhone, Android and the web. See TripStow vs TripIt for a line-by-line comparison.

Also good: Tineo builds itineraries from emails forwarded to trips@tineo.ai, on Apple, Android and the web, free with an Ultra plan at $39.99 a year. Tineo: pricing KAYAK Trips is entirely free: forward to trips@kayak.com or connect Gmail or Outlook. KAYAK: Trips FAQ

2. You used TripIt Pro for flight alerts: Flighty

If live delays, gate changes and connections are what you paid TripIt Pro for, Flighty is the strongest tracker there is, with a detailed flight history. It is a flight app rather than a trip organiser, so hotels and car hire are not its job. It is free, with Flighty Pro at $59.99 a year, on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch only. Flighty: pricing There is no Android version yet, only a waitlist. Flighty: Android waitlist

On Android or the web: TripStow Pro sends delay, gate, boarding and baggage alerts for every flight you have forwarded, alongside the rest of the trip. FlightAware's app sends free push alerts for flights you add yourself. FlightAware on the App Store

3. You plan trips with other people: Wanderlog

TripIt stores what you have booked. If you want help deciding what to do, Wanderlog is a planner first: a shared map and day-by-day plan that friends can edit at the same time, with expense splitting. Each trip has its own address for forwarded bookings. It is free, with Wanderlog Pro at $39.99 a year, which adds Gmail scanning and offline access. Also worth a look: Stippl, a newer planner with routes, packing lists and a travel journal, free with Pro at €24.99 a year. Stippl: Stippl vs Wanderlog

If you only need others to see your plans, you may not need a planner at all. TripStow lets you share an itinerary with travel partners or a PA, one trip or all of them.

4. Everyone you travel with uses Apple devices: Tripsy

Tripsy is a well-designed itinerary app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, with widgets and a travel record of countries and nights. Forwarding booking emails needs Tripsy Pro (£29.99 a year on the UK App Store), and there is no Android app; others can view a trip in a browser. Tripsy: forwarding emails Tripsy on the App Store

5. You want it free, with no new app: Gmail and Google Calendar

If your bookings arrive in Gmail, flights, hotels and car hire are added to Google Calendar automatically, as long as Gmail's smart features are switched on. Google retired its separate trip summary pages in 2023, so this is a calendar entry per booking rather than an itinerary. Skift: Google Travel retires trip summaries It suits occasional travellers; it keeps no history, stats or check-in reminders.

6. You care about where you have been: TripStow

TripIt keeps simple travel stats, but they stay inside TripIt. TripStow is built around that record: distance, hours in the air, countries on a scratch-off map, airports, airlines, aircraft and badges, all counted from your trips, with share cards when you want to show them off.

You can bring years of TripIt flights with you. TripIt has no export button, but OpenFlights can pull your flights out of TripIt in bulk, and TripStow reads the OpenFlights file. How to export your TripIt data covers every route. Flights logged in Flighty, myFlightradar24 and other flight logs come across too.
